We robbed summer of five days. We said goodbye to it five days before it officially ended. But luckily, there’s no penalty for such a theft, and summer surely won’t complain. And anyway, you don’t have to read this article the very moment it’s published. Maybe it’s already deep autumn, with flickering pumpkins beside you, scented candles filling the air, plastic spiders crawling around, and Harry Potter on your screen. So let’s just recall it…

That on September 18th, together with our colleagues, we waved summer away, even though it wanted to stick around for five more days. But once we said goodbye, it couldn’t stay. But let’s switch to a happier note—what was this all about?
It was our annual event, a gastronomic opportunity for collegial socializing during the last days of summer. If not for the wind, it would have been perfect. Otherwise, the weather was kind, and the tap served excellent beer. See how “seamlessly” one can move from the weather to beer? Speaking of which… our stomachs (some of us had skipped lunch that day) were well taken care of by the guys from Manno Foodtruck, the crew from PiroHi foodtruck, and the tap master from Opre kept our throats refreshed whenever they went dry. Ciders, beers, lemonades, burgers, dumplings, steaks and… for much longer?

That’s just a callback to the title. Nothing implied, nothing hinted at. Sweet, salty, meaty, fruity—every bite that passed our taste buds cried out for only one thing… the next bite. And if this article is accompanied by photos, and you’re reading it during work, there’s a chance you’ll suddenly lose the will to work and instead feel hungry. Only an upcoming lunch break can save you after reading. In that case—bon appétit.

Across from the food trucks, our parking lot also hosted stalls with handmade crafts, creative woodwork, and wire jewelry. And for the few young professionals – as well as hobby sports kids in general – there was also ball-game and racket equipment ready for them. So really, everything was there. Everything we needed to spend a pleasant afternoon with colleagues and loved ones. Of course, anyone can imagine something that could have made it even better, but… why? Summer is gone. We can endure these few colder days and just hope for an Indian summer soon. Because the International Peace Marathon in Košice is just around the corner, along with other winter events we’re preparing.

Thank you, Telegrafia, for another great event. More are coming. They’ll be great too. And of course, we’ll write about them again.
