Halliburton, a company dedicated to providing global sustainable energy solutions that go beyond conventional energy sources, required a system to warn people in case of threats at their camp in Ecuador. To address this need, a Gibon 300 siren was installed, ensuring the safety and preparedness of their personnel. This project highlights Halliburton’s commitment to safety and advanced technology in challenging environments.

Activation Methods for Enhanced Safety

The early warning siren is designed to be activated in two ways:

  • Manual activation: Using four buttons, two different alarms can be activated. The third button is used for testing, and the fourth button is for stopping the alarms.
  • Activation via mobile phone: SMS can activate an alarm, test, or stop the system, while a phone call activates the microphone announcement.

Based on the acoustic project in the Acusticus program, the Gibon 300 siren with two horns was recommended. These horns can be directed to ensure the most effective distribution of the warning signal. Thanks to the efficient installation by our partner company Extintec – Protección industrial y control contra incendios, Ecuador (extintec.com.ec), the sirens were almost immediately ready for use.
