Telegrafia: Diamond of the Slovak Business 2019
Every year since 2009, Forbes Magazine Slovakia and Enterprise Investors have been awarding the fastest organically growing small and medium-sized companies with the Diamond of the Slovak Business Award in the individual regions of Slovakia in four categories – East, Middle, West, and Bratislava.
3rd place in East Slovakia
Based on our excellent results, Telegrafia was nominated for the East Slovak region in the 11th year of Slovak Business 2019 Award. The company was ranked among the top three, together with another Kosice’s company SWIDA Innovative s.r.o. and the company AJ Antennas, s.r.o. from Bardejov.
The award goes with commitment
We humbly received the national award on October 25, 2019, with a firm commitment to continuing in our efforts and improvements.
As Peter Marčák, Telegrafia´s CEO said: “The award, I think, pleased everyone in the company. Everyone feels great to be part of a successful team. However, at the same time, it motivates us to think even more deeply about why we won the prize and how we will maintain our position and even further improve the results that led us to earn it. “
Who grants the award
The award-granting ceremony is organised by Forbes Magazine and Enterprise Investors.
Enterprise Investors is the oldest and one of the largest companies managing private equity funds in Central and Eastern Europe. Their international idea of supporting small and medium-sized companies has been adopted in several European countries, and several award-winning events have been introduced, such as Štiky českého byznysu in the Czech Republic, Pegazus Díj in Hungary, and Campioni în Business in Romania.
Furthermore, Forbes Magazine perhaps needs not to be introduced as it is considered the best business magazine in the world and one of the most cited world periodicals. It has been published since 1917 and its Slovakian version since November 2010.
Assessment criteria
The competition evaluates the business achievements of Slovak companies for at least three successive years of their business activities every year. As a result, a list of the most successful is drawn up, offering a relevant picture of how small and medium-sized enterprises are prospering and how dynamically the industries in individual Slovak regions are growing.
The Slovak Diamonds ranking, which is annually compiled based on FinStat’s existing database, includes the Slovak companies without foreign capital investment, meeting the following criteria:
- A minimum of three consecutive years of business operation
- Annual revenues of between EUR 5 and 50 million in the last three years
- Profitability in at least the last three years
Every domestic company that meets the above criteria is included in the assessment. The judging panel is made up of business leaders from a wide range of industries, and their judgements are impartial, free of any subjective individual choices, but strictly based only on objective economic indicators.
