The growing need for preventive measures against the threat of tsunamis in the Asia-Pacific

As stated in the last UN published Asia Pacific Disaster Report of the year 2015 The Disasters without Borders, “Asia and the Pacific is the world’s most disaster-prone region − exposed to earthquakes, floods, droughts and typhoons, and many other powerfully destructive natural phenomena“. The report indicates several threats, and tsunami is one of them. Preventive measures for mitigating the risk of disastrous consequences have been transformed into adequate actions a long time ago.
